Who we are

Pace My Energy is a chronic condition pacing application operated by Pace My Energy LLC, a subsidiary of the Institute for Adaptive Health, L3C. The Institute for Adaptive Health is a Low-Profit Limited Liability Company (L3C), a type of social enterprise that prioritizes mission and community impact alongside financial sustainability.

What information we collect

We collect information you give us directly (name, email, health symptoms, activity logs) and information from connected wearables (heart rate, HRV, sleep, steps). This includes electronic personal health information (ePHI) as defined under HIPAA.

• Account information: name, email address
• Health data: biometric readings, symptoms, activity logs, medications, lab results
• Device data: wearable metrics synced from Apple Health, Android Health Connect, Garmin, Fitbit, or Polar
• Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, session logs
• Environmental data: location type, ambient noise, light exposure (collected in-app)

How we use your information

We use your data to calculate your daily energy score, detect patterns, and provide pacing recommendations. We may share data with your designated care team members if you grant access.

We will never sell your electronic personal health information (ePHI). Your health data belongs to you.

We may use data that has been de-identified in accordance with applicable law for purposes including product improvement, research, analytics, and business operations. De-identified data is processed in a manner that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

HIPAA

Pace My Energy is designed with HIPAA compliance in mind. We are currently in beta and actively working toward full HIPAA certification including signing Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with all applicable data processors. Patent pending.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may export or delete your data at any time by contacting us at info@pacemyenergy.com.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal health information at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@pacemyenergy.com.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Pace My Energy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We will notify you by email of any material changes to this policy at least 30 days before they take effect.
